About Andrew
Andrew Krob - B-25 History Project Photographer: Andrew is a hobby aviation photographer based in the Kansas City area. He absolutely loves aviation and aerospace, growing up in Wichita, KS, the air capital of the world. He spent a lot of time looking up and watching planes, and it was a special trip when he went to the Kansas Cosmosphere. When he was younger, he and his dad participated in High Power Model Rocketry, and at that time wanted to be an aeronautical engineer. Life took it',s course, and he went to college and got a degree in Business Administration. He also met the woman who was to be his wife.
After college, he went to work for a Fortune 500 company in Information Technology and got married to his wonderful wife, Susan. A year and some after marriage they had their first child. In February 2014, they moved to Kansas City where Andrew currently works as a Storage Engineer for a major Healthcare IT company. According to Andrew, he has always loved taking pictures. In 2009, he got his first dSLR. From that time, he read books and watched many YouTube videos. He soon did first model shoot, and started doing Time for Print shoots with many more models. He worked with some very nice models, however, it wasn't a driving passion. He loved photography, but knew there had to be more.
In 2013, while living in Northwest Arkansas, the aviation museum in Fayettville, AR started a AirExpo called Bikes, Blues, and Bombers, using the name from the event Bikes, Blues, and BBQ. This was his first time around Warbirds. He saw FIFI, Bucket of Bolts, and a B-24 Liberator. This brought a lot of excitement. He loves the engineering of the aircraft, the sleek lines, and the effort it takes to design, build, and operate an aircraft. He is excited to continue on this pursuit of aviation photography. Andrew brings not only a passion for aviation photography, but for history as well. His talents extend from the largest Warbird to the smallest of artifacts. We are lucky to have him with us.
