About Bob
Bob Haney - B-25 History Project Historian: Bob and my family actually go way back to the late 1980s. He had heard of the NAA-K B-25 Bomber Builders Newsletter and contacted us for information on his research. By that time, Bob was a seasoned B-25 researcher. His archive of information and contribution to B-25 history puts him among the most respected researchers in the world. Back in 1989, he led a team that evaluated the condition and possible recovery of Sandbar Mitchell from Alaska. His personal goal to acquire an image of every single airframe is indeed lofty, but he has made great strides to that endeavor.
I personally, have learned so much from Bob. He is always a patient teacher, and usually has the answers to the questions that I get stumped on. His knowledge has been paramount to our work in posting biographies of every single existing airframe. It also forms the basis of our grander project to create biographies of every single airframe ever built. We could not even attempt to make that happen without his help. His guidance has also been at the forefront as we gather and digitize records of every single B-25 built. This is a long term project for certain, but one that would never have gotten off the ground without his help.
