About Chris

John (Chris)Gilley - Historian: Interest in the B-25 started during an 8th grade project when he was writing about his Great Uncle. The Uncle was a B-25 Pilot with the 486th Bomb Squadron who passed down several photographs and told a few stories. Since that moment he was hooked on trying to find out as much as he could about the 486th and the B-25.

Chris was a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne from 2001-2005 and served in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Currently he work as a DOD civilian working at Aberdeen Proving Grounds where he tests small and medium caliber weapons for the government. He tries to make it to as many air shows as he can and was fortunate to participate in one at Andrews Air Force base where he parachuted in with the 82nd during an airfield seizure demonstration. His specialty is tracking down photographs of B-25s and identifying them.
