About Coert

Coert Munk - B-25 History Project Historian: Coert studied business economics and worked as CPA for many years. Before retiring in 2012 as airport manager at EHTE Teuge Airport (NL), Coert was busy with the renewal of the airport, extending the runway and bringing new business to the airport.

Coert is more than half a century active in aviation, both professional and as hobby. Since the young years he's busy researching big(ger) US-built props, preferably twin tailed. The North American B-25 has his interest for many years. He is proud to have been able to fly in a B-25. The Duke of Brabant Air Force / DBAF had B-25 N320SQ (U.S. serial 44-29507) in the Netherlands since 1990. Visiting airshows and other events, he had the pleasure to fly 76:37hrs in 58 take-offs and landings at airfields in many countries in W-Europe. As DBAF board member he did the acquisition and planning of airshows all over in Europe. DBAF merged with the Royal Netherlands AF Historical Flight in 2010 and as DBAF's board member (hon. Secretary) he is responsible for keeping the history alive

For many years he has been in frequent contact with other B-25 experts. Dan and Patrick just a few years and Bob Haney and Scott Thompson for much longer. His main interest is on civil B-25s and the bombers operated in Dutch service with RAF (Dutch) 320Sq, MLD 320Sq and 18Sq (etc.) ML-KNIL (NEIAF). Not to forget the Royal Netherlands Military Flying School at Jackson Mississippi USA.

He has had fun in many parts of aviation. Flew with many people with lots of pleasure, owned (with a friend) a small Ercoupe (nicknamed "the poor man's Mitchell"). He writes articles in several (aviation) magazines, almost on a monthly basis and plans to have the book with the history of the Duke of Brabant Air Force ready in a few years. And the research never stops!
