About Kevin

Kevin Orr - B-25 History Project Historian, Board Member: Kevin knew from a very young age that being involved in aviation was his future. His dad was a medical helicopter mechanic and always enjoyed going to work with him. He has been flying since 1994 when he took his private pilot check ride on his 18th birthday. Over the course of several years he eventually obtained his Airline Transport Rating for airplanes and Commercial rating for helicopters. Currently he is employed as a charter pilot flying a Citation XL across North America and the Caribbean. Kevin lives in Olathe with his wife, dogs, and cats.

Kevin's love for the B-25 started one weekend when his dad took him to help work on the B-25 Fairfax Ghost. After having a conversation with his mother he found out that his Great Grandmother worked at the North American Aviation plant at the Fairfax airport building B-25's. After the Fairfax Ghost left Kansas City and having a personal connection it was Kevin's goal to help preserve the B-25's Kansas City history. While learning more about the B-25 and its history with Kansas City Kevin also discovered that the area had a great aviation history. Kevin has a love for aviation history and the B-25 and is excited to join the B-25 History Project.
