B-25 History Project
Our Mission:
Jim and I have over 50 years of collective experience honoring the B-25 and those involved. As the two Kansas City area historians, we decided to join forces to form the B-25 History Project. We realized that between the two of us, we had the knowledge and resources to accomplish so much more. As the B-25 History Project, we have just one simple mission:
To preserve and honor the history of the B-25 bomber and the men and women who built, flew, and maintain them; past, present and future.
Our Core Values:
To achieve this mission, we have adopted our core values of Integrity, Pride, Patriotism, and Teamwork. The bomber builders lived these values, which truly helped preserve our freedom. These values remain just as pertinent today.
Integrity: We will always remember that what we do is not for our glory, but for those who truly deserve it. We will never profit from this project. We will only assist other organizations that share our goals and values.
Pride: We will honor those who came before us by taking pride in every action, no matter how small it may seem. We will perform every task with the best of our abilities and intent. The men and women we honor deserve nothing less.
Patriotism: By honoring the freedom that we are given, we are honoring those who gave it to us. This includes those men and women who gave much more than we could ever ask to protect that freedom.
Teamwork: Just as those before us knew, no one man can move a mountain. At the height of employment, 24,329 men and women produced over 315 B-25s in one month at the Fairfax plant. Together, we can achieve anything.
Our Project Goals:
In order to support this mission, we have assembled these project goals. Every item on this list represents current or future projects. We currently have the talented people needed to accomplish each of our goals. As our organization grows, we will expand our project goals.
