About Tom

Tom Rohr - Board Member, Adjutant: Tom was born and raised in Overland Park, KS. His grandfather was captain with the Army Infantry division till 1944. This started his passion for learning anything he can about history. In the 1980's, he was lucky enough to watch the A-10s of Richards Gebaur AFB from is house. After high school, he would attend KSU and study Community Service. As a teen and into his late 20's he would spend all of his free time restoring and modifying vehicles. His hobbies still include model making and more recently radio control scratch build aircraft. Eventually he would find himself enrolled for the GM ASEP technician program.

Since 2001 he has been employed at a large automotive company a Master Parts Consultant. Married in 2007, he packed up moved to Saint Joseph, MO but still commutes daily to Kansas City. From his home, he, wife Melissa and two young children watch the C130's of the ANG 139TH Airlift Wing. He and good friend coach his son's baseball team. His coaching buddy is an NCO at the ANG base and is slowing helping build relationships with to base personal within the unit.

Throughout the past few years he has been trying to find an organization to help preserve as well as learn more history. His opportunity would finally be presented to him within the B-25 community after his first flight in "Show Me" in 2014 he was hooked. Upon landing the crew was greeted on the tarmac by Lt. Col. Dick Cole. Lieutenant Col. Cole was about to take a photograph with several Rosie's in front of the B-25 arranged by the B-25 History Project. As he sat in awe of a man he had read about in several books and videos, the crew asked if he would like to meet Lt. Col. Dick Cole. Absolutely stunned by his presence and the generosity of the crew he said yes. Tom has since joined the B-25 History Project as well as the Warbirds of Glory Museum, enthusiastically serving to preserved the history of the B-25 for future generations.
