History
The B-25D-30-NC SN 43-3308 was completed on October 26, 1943. North American test pilot James Malone flew her twice on October 25, 1943 for a total of 2 hours. She was initially flown to La Junta, Colorado and used for advanced twin-engine pilot training. She remained in this training role for a year until reassigned to Kelly Field Texas for maintenance prior to delivery to the RCAF under a RAF B-25 allotment. She was transferred to the Royal Air Force on December 12, 1943 as Mitchell II KL 156 and flown to Vancouver, British Columbia arriving on December 28, 1943. In later years with the RCAF, she was used as a target aircraft for radar intercept crews as well as a command transport and pilot proficiency training. She continued in service with the Royal Canadian Air Force until November of 1961. The following summary of assignments are listed on her record card:

She was exported to Panama in 1964 and assigned registration HP-428. She was reported as sold in April of 1970 to Transportes Aeros Benianos of La Paz, Bolivia. There, her new registration was assigned of CP-915. She was reported derelict in La Paz by 1976. She was returned to the United States by Roy Stafford in 1987. She was restored to static and displayed as USMC PBJ-1D at the USMC Air-Ground Museum in Quantico, Virginia. In 2002, the museum closed and the B-25 was transferred to the B-25 Preservation Group. She is now on display at the Freedom Museum USA in Pampa, Texas.
