History

The B-25D-15-NC SN 41-30647 was the 1000th B-25 built at the Fairfax B-25 Mitchel bomber plant being completed on May 14, 1943. She was delivered to the Kansas City modification center on May 19, 1943 for unknown modifications. She stayed stateside during the war flying between Love Field, Astoria, Hammer Field, Tonopah Field, Portland, and Sacramento. The 1000th B-25D ended up at Brooks Field in San Antonio, Texas by March 22, 1944. After World War 2, she was moved to Harlingen Air Force Base, Texas until March 6, 1947 when it was delivered to the RFC and likely scrapped.
