In the post war years she operated from Barksdale, Reese, James Connally, Harlingen and finally Goodfellow Air force bases. She was declared surplus to Air Force needs in 1959. Early civilian history on the on the aircraft is sketchy. What we do know is she was sold along with 2 other airframes (B-25J-20-NC 44-29839 and B-25J-30-NC 44-86715) and flown to Papillion, Nebraska. That ferry flight would be her only civilian flight. Original intentions for this and the other two B-25s were for use as agricultural sprayers. This transformation never occurred and the three aircraft remained idle until the 1970s. At some point, she was acquired by the SAC Museum located at Offut AFB, Omaha. After received by the museum the outer wing panels were removed. Some of the aluminum skin was also removed from the port side of the aircraft. The exposed fuselage section from the waist gun position to behind the cockpit makes up a display at the museum. Unfortunately, her outer wing panels were scrapped. In the late 90s, the museum moved to a new location, but she is still on display to this day.
